本機構的宗旨是為個人、家庭、團體和社區服務，協助他們在社會、經濟、道德及精神生活方面，達致更符合人類理想的境界，成為自己生活和命運的主宰，建立本乎真理、秉乎正義、發乎仁愛、實現自由與和平的社區。
香港明愛社區及高等教育服務隸屬於香港明愛教育部，成立於一九六三年。明愛成教的成立，是基於「人人皆有發展潛力」的信念，而目標則是為未能完成常規教育的香港市民提供不同種類的課程，以增加成人接受教育的機會。使他們提高自信，培養立身處世的能力，以求竭盡一己之長，貢獻社會。
General Purposes & Objectives of Caritas-HK
The purpose and task of the organization is to be at the service of individuals,
families, groups and communities as they strive in the social, economic, physical,
psychological, intellectual, moral and spiritual areas of life to pass from
less human to more human conditions, to be the principal agents of their own
lives and destinies, to build in their environment communities grounded on
truth, guided by justice, motivated by love, realized in freedom, flowering
in peace.
The Adult and Higher Education Service is a branch of the Education Division
of Caritas - Hong Kong. We started our service in 1963. Since then, we have
been undergone an ever-expanding range of development.
